Erling Braut Haaland
Norwegian striker Erling Haaland set the Premier League single-season scoring record in his first year at Manchester City and helped the club win the 2023 treble.
Biography
Born in Leeds, England, Haaland came through the youth system at Bryne in Norway and began his senior career there before moving to Molde in 2017. Spells at Red Bull Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund, where he won the 2021 DFB-Pokal, established him as one of Europe's most prolific young forwards. He joined Manchester City in 2022 and scored 36 Premier League goals in his debut season, a league record, as City won the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League. He has since won a second league title and three Premier League Golden Boots, and in January 2025 he signed a contract extension running to 2034.
