Biography

Born in Stuttgart to a British-Nigerian father and a German mother, Jamal Musiala moved to England as a child, progressing through Chelsea's academy and representing England up to under-21 level. In 2019 he chose to return to Germany with Bayern Munich, making his senior debut in June 2020 at 17 years and 115 days to become Bayern's youngest Bundesliga player. Nicknamed 'Bambi' for his slender frame and uncanny agility in tight spaces, Musiala evolved into one of the world's most devastating dribblers. On the dramatic final day of the 2022-23 Bundesliga season, he came off the bench to score an 89th-minute winner against FC Köln, clinching the title for Bayern on goal difference. By age 21, he had already won four Bundesliga championships, the UEFA Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup. At international level, he chose to represent Germany, where he starred at Euro 2024 with three goals to finish as joint Golden Boot winner.
