Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah is Liverpool's all-time Premier League record goalscorer, winning the Champions League, Premier League, and three Golden Boots.
Biography
Hailing from the Nile Delta village of Nagrig, Mohamed Salah began his senior career with Cairo club El Mokawloon before moving to Europe with Swiss side FC Basel in 2012. After a challenging spell at Chelsea, he revitalized his career in Italy with successful campaigns at Fiorentina and AS Roma, establishing himself as one of Serie A's most dangerous wingers. In the summer of 2017, Salah joined Liverpool under Jürgen Klopp, producing an explosive debut season in which he scored 32 Premier League goals—setting a 38-game season record at the time. Salah was the offensive catalyst as Liverpool lifted the UEFA Champions League in 2019, the FIFA Club World Cup, and their first league title in thirty years in 2019-20. Known for his blistering pace, clinical finishing with his left foot, and remarkable durability, Salah has collected three Premier League Golden Boots and two PFA Players' Player of the Year awards. As captain of Egypt, he guided the Pharaohs to their first World Cup in 28 years in 2018 and multiple Africa Cup of Nations finals.
